Sum of One

"Daaaamn"

submission: Sum of One

This is EXTREMELY cool. Almost Epic Indie. I don't have much to say on this, other than it was awsome. The only thing I (maybe?) found was that the wind? noise abruptly cuts of, seemingly unaturally, at 1:06. Not sure if this was on purpose or not, but I would have liked to have heard it fade out as opposed to just stopping. This isn't really a complaint, though, still thought the song was fucking sweet.
Also, this would be pretty epic with some choruses. That, and maybe fade out with a melody and the drums at the same time.
Though, once again, just suggestions.
I will definately be downloading this.

Author's Response:

Yeah the ending had a problem. I bitmucnhed the end and it sounded crap, but I couldn't edit the whole song, just the end, but it took out the wind.

It sounds better than the bitmucher :P

Thanks for the review man :D

You make it difficult for people like me to stand up to something this good. My only three complaints about this song is that I would have liked the hi-hat to do something more, I think snare-roll build-ups are overused, and that outro noise was awful. The mastering was flawless (as always), however, and besides that outro, this song is just freakin' great. I also loved the tom-toms in the background. Didn't even catch on to those till the second time listening to it.

This song is great.

It's amazing.

Fuck you for setting the bar so high :P

-Could you also check out and review my last three submissions, (Kelvin, Cadence of the Setting Sun, and For Whom the Dark Should Fear) and review them? I know they've been submitted for a while now, but I still like the criticism.

Anyways, another excellent job on a song well done. Can't wait for more.

Although this genre of techno isn't my cup of tea (I actually despise it), you've made it so I can actually listen to it. And that stretched tom was kick ass. It was my favorite part of the song. I would try to offer constructive criticism, but I would end up bitching about the genre, and say nothing about the song. So, good job on turning a shit genre into something... not shit. And actually pretty damn good.

"I don't know why this has such a low score."

I thought it was very well done. Smooth, relaxing, and with an awsome taste of the oriental at some parts. I didn't hear a thing wrong with it. You've got a five and a download from me.

Great review! And thanks (:

And the score... well i guess newgrounds needs more 2 minute songs
with ADHD synths and D&B drums than relax club / ambient ;) zerobombers ftw

Cave Story - Moonsong

"Not bad."

date: December 11, 2008

But this has the potential to be fuckin' epic. Simply, where the song currently stops, just abruptly add in drums, and switch out the current sounds for deep, kick-ass synths. And then make an entire, full song out of that. But anyways, that was still pretty close to the real thing, and was really well done.

Like a rocket (Dj Janze REMIX)

"WOW"

date: December 11, 2008

That was very, very good. I just wish that the higher synths had a bit more volume to them. I was expecting them to "punch" me in the face, and they never did. But besides that, everything was kick-ass. VERY good job =D

Taking It Easy (GD)

"Excelent."

date: November 5, 2008

You've gone and done fucked ambient up in the best way possible. I liked the almost Tokyo feel of this track, very, VERY good indeed. The melody was chatchy as hell, it almost seems as if this could support lyrics (but not that sappy shit that's all to common to techno). I will be downloading this, excelent work.

"Relaxing"

submission: So It Would Seem
date: November 5, 2008

As it should be. I enjoyed this the entire way thorugh, you switched it up enough so it didn't get repetitive by Ambient standards. All in all, great job. I will be downloading this one for sure. And also, nice addition of drums =D

Like Clockwork

"Since I was impressed with you other song"

submission: Like Clockwork
date: November 5, 2008

I figured I would check out your other stuff. And I'm impressed by this too. In fact, I am GREATLY impressed. The only thing I would have to say bad aboout this si that the ambient bell sound is just a HAIR overpowering. Still, though, it doesn't really bother me. And I LOVED the ending. In fact, I was hoping for more after that synth came in at 2:24. It sounds like a lead in to a more epic part of the song. So, very good job, once again.

Don't Die, Addie!

"It's pretty good."

submission: Don't Die, Addie!
date: November 5, 2008

Althogh, it was nothing great. That is, up until 1:54. And then it was great. In fact, it was excellent after that. I loved all the different melodies and instrument sounds throughout the song. And the best line was the best part. Very soothing, very melodic, just as a good ambient track should be. Very good job, nothing to complain about here.
