Since I was impressed with you other song

I figured I would check out your other stuff. And I'm impressed by this too. In fact, I am GREATLY impressed. The only thing I would have to say bad aboout this si that the ambient bell sound is just a HAIR overpowering. Still, though, it doesn't really bother me. And I LOVED the ending. In fact, I was hoping for more after that synth came in at 2:24. It sounds like a lead in to a more epic part of the song. So, very good job, once again.

It's pretty good.

Althogh, it was nothing great. That is, up until 1:54. And then it was great. In fact, it was excellent after that. I loved all the different melodies and instrument sounds throughout the song. And the best line was the best part. Very soothing, very melodic, just as a good ambient track should be. Very good job, nothing to complain about here.

At first it was lame.

AND THEN IT WASN'T!!!! In fact, I enjoyed this thoroughly. I loved the simple piano part, and that bassdrum/snare-hit thing was cool as hell. However, there are a couple of the bell notes that conflict with the piano. Also, I would have liked to hear a better mastered piano, namely quite a bit of reverb (which you could have easily gotten away with). And I would LOVE to be able to hear this with lyrics. It's very haunting and melodic, and I'm assuming the lyrics are the same. Great track, great melodies, excellent job!! =D

All in all, pretty good.

But nothing really spectacular. Still, it's a solid remake, and I enjoyed it.

FullMetalROXAS responds:

Thanks alot man, I wasn't really expecting to get far.
I just got so bored and decided "Hmm... RICK ASTLEY TIME!!"

Yeah, it's 2:55AM here.
I'm THAT bored. :P

Anyways, thanks for the vote. :3

Well...

It COULD be an excelent experimental track. But for one, the talking is just horrible. In some parts, it almsot fits, like around 1:40. And the kick is horrible, to, it needs to have a CRAPLOAD more bass behind it. Althgouh, I actually liked the melodies you used in the song. But it's the sound of the VOICE!!!! If you want the voice to fit more, you need to have ALOT more going on in the song. Like, a ton of melody, so it in a sense overpowers the voice, but not enough that you can no longer hear it. Also, distorting the voice might add a cool effect. So, all in all, I would say add more melody and change the sound of the voice. But still, good job on the melodies that are there.

hugandthewhip responds:

Yeah, I noticed that I got the delay thing going on, and my voice is pretty high. As for the bassline, for some reason the one I put in there was overpowered. Hmm... And my voice effects seemed to have no effects working. Oh well. I'll try again next time.

Fuckin' A, skippy.

I don't normally like classical music all that much, but I LOVED the hell out of this. Twas' superb on more levels than one.

SilentTakedown responds:

Wow, means a lot!
Thanks!

A bit better than the last one.

You seem to have a little more flow with your rapping, a little more soul. However, it's still lacking that in-your-face factor that good rap possesses. However, I think if you keep at it you'll get it eventually. And as always, the music in the background is just excellent. So keep it up, still enjoying what you do.

Another good one...

I would almost call this genre "emotive dnb". You used the drums to absolute perfection. Nothing else to say, really. Great job, once again.

Excellent

I would have to say, the only thinkg I didn't like about the song was what sounded like a guiro. At some points, it was just obnoxious. But besides that, I enjoyed this song immensely. And mayon8 is correct. The song is so simple, and yet, there's something pulling about it. Can't really explain. I just love your stuff.

Keep it up =D

HOLY BUTTFUCK!!!!!!

This was utterly excelent. It seemed to be emo, but not shit, which is what emo normally is. I LOVED the dirty hard-rock feel to it, and that guitar is just fuckin' amazing. The unorthodoxed drums fit perfectly, they really fucked with your head in a good way, making you think it's off beat even though it isn't. And most of all, I loved the slight funk/blues feel this song has. It's just....well, it's really damn fuckin' amazing. The best Ive ever heard on Newgrounds. Better yet, one of the best I've heard in music in general. However, the only thing "bad" that could be said about this, is the vocal track is just a tad to harsh. The whole undermastered thing does sound cool, but less harsh vocals.

Just...damn.
